Rileigh's 8th Birthday
Rileigh has turned 8 isn't that great? We all think so. She had a wonderful day and was very excited to go swimming at the water park with her siblings. She is preparing herself to be baptized tomorrow and we are all happy to be close to grandparents and other family who will share her special day with her.
Rileigh's favorite gift. The kids have been singing these songs non stop, even Sawyer sings Let it go let it go. They also enjoy acting the movie out as they sing the songs. Pretty fun/funny.
Sawyer was a bit shy of the water, this is about as wet as he would have gotten without help.
Jake fixed up this delicious ice-cream cake from Walmart. Turned out cute.
Happy birthday girl :-) We sure love our Rileigh!

Quintessa Dawn Lloyd
Quintessa Dawn Lloyd was born at 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday August 13. She weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 17.5 inches long. She came into the world via C-section, which went very well to the great relief of her mother. I had a terrible experience with my spinal block last time, and was very glad when it took only one quick try for the anesthetist to place the needle. Here is my little angel in her first week and half of life.

Lloyd Family Reunion
Lloyd Family reunion. This was a fun time, and so nice to see everyone that made it out. There were a lot of activities planned and the kids all had a ball.
Big Girl
Rileigh graduated from Kindergarten this year, we are so proud of her. It wa so cute they put on a ceremony just like a high school graduation, and even had a slide show presentation of the years activities and photos taken throughout. They also did a cute little program with the kids singing too. it was a fun night.
Lawn care
Our summer lawn care this year started off a little rough. We do not own a lawn mower, but found this weed hacker very cheap at a used place. For the first few times our lawn needed care we had to weed hack the entire thing. this was a HUGE job. I would barely finish with the thing and would then have to start again because the first spot would be long again. It felt like a miracle when our neighbors got a lawn mower and offered to let us use it, and that they would begin taking every other week as they were supposed to.

We went out walking on the centenial trail yesterday and it was tic central. We pulled 3 tics off Smokey, luckily only one of them had a hold on him when we found them, one off Jacilynn that had just started to dig in, and one off of Jakes neck. Sick sick sick!!!! I think I hate tics even more than spiders, which is really saying something for me. There are a lot of bikers on the trail so you really have to stay on your own side, well we saw bikers comeing the other way, both Jake and I looked back to make sure the kids were off to the side(they were), I even said watch out here come some bikers I turned around and about 10 seconds later one of the bikers yell watch out!! Crash! Boom! Bang! Jacilynn, in that split second, thought it a good idea to run out in front of the poor guy. Well she was creamed, got bruised and scraped up, the guy looked like he bumped his knee, but otherwise ok, which is lucky because that particular spot drops off pretty steeply to the water and he almost went over. I felt really bad, but a little mad too because the guy didn't even say sorry, he just looked like he wanted to chew us out, but didn't, then left. What a disaster! Although I did try to look at the bright side, though I had made Jacilynn go potty before we left, she managed to pee her pants somehwere in the 5-10 min. it took us to get there so I had to change her out of the skirt she was wearing into some jeans. Which I am sure ended up saving her a lot of skinnings, though I certainly wasn't happy at the time of the accident!
All in all not the best walk we have had.
